Code of
conduct

All participants of this community (online and offline) are expected to agree with the following Code of Conduct. We invite everybody who participate in our events to help us create safe and positive experiences for everyone.

The Quick Version

We aim to create a harassment-free event for everyone who identifies as non-binary, or for anybody that can't identify with any gender, regardless of expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment, hateful speech or invalidation of any group participant in any form. Group participants violating these rules may be warned or expelled from the event.

The Less Quick Version

Harrassment-free community

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of our Awareness Team inmediately.

Respect

Do not make assumptions about another person's sex, gender, ethnicity, physical or mental health, etc. Always respect other members identities and pronouns. If you don't know a person pronouns, just ask them.

Do not invalidate other members' experiences.

Do not tell other members that they don't belong here, or that they should leave. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of our Awareness Team inmediately.

Communication

We speak English and German, and will do our best to include other languages. When discussing with others, please make sure everybody understands the language you are communicating with. If needed, ask for or facilitate a translation. And if you don't understand a word or a language during a discussion, please ask for translation. We are happy to help however we can.

Feel free to come up with any topics you wan to discuss with others. When commenting on a discussion, stay true to the topic and purpose of the discussion.

Use trigger warnings when needed. Any discussion containing a slur, graphic descriptions, disturbing imagery, or discussing topics of a sensitive nature must be preceded by a trigger warning. Many of our members have suffered traumatic experiences, and being non-consensually exposed to certain things may trigger panic attacks, flashbacks, or other extremely negative experiences.

Awareness Team

We have one or two people per meetup who are the designated people to deal with any case of violation of this Code of Conduct. They will be announced at the beginning of each meetup and if you don't know who they are, please ask.

Contact

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us per email.
